Extraterrestrial

Extraterrestrial refers to any object or being beyond (extra-) the planet Earth (terrestrial), extraplanetary to Earth. It is derived from the Latin words extra ("outside", "outwards") and terrestris ("earthly", "of or relating to the Earth"). It may be abbreviated as "E.T."
