MEZEREON (-zē're-on). Daphne Mezereum, a small shrub with deciduous obovate or spatulate lanceolate leaves; flowers generally in threes; silky-pink, or white; very fragrant. Berries red, ovoid. Acrid and poisonous; the berries are cathartic; the leaves used as a vesicant.
