​TENNYSON, FREDERICK, an English poet, brother of Alfred; born in Louth, Lincolnshire, June 5, 1807. He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge, and in 1828 took the medal for a Greek poem. He published various volumes of verse, including “Days and Hours” (1854); “The Isles of Greece” (1890); “Daphne, and Other Poems” (1891). He died in London Feb. 26, 1898.
