Balliol Coll., Oxon (from Harrow), 2nd class in final classical schools 1880, a student of Lincoln's Inn 5 May, 1879 (aged 21), called to the bar 18 April, 1883 (2nd son of Henry Austin, Lord Aberdare); born 15 Jan., 1858; married 5 Aug., 1882, Emily, dau. of Genl. Sir Montagu McMurdo, K.C.B., and has issue (see Foster's Peerage).
