The history of the war work in Oregon is in compilation under the direction of Miss Cornelia Marvin, of Salem, State Librarian, who has been named by the State Council of De- fense as State Historian. As this work has proceeded its scope has enlarged and its importance has grown in the esti- mation of all who have given it attention.
