BATTLEWRACK is that rare thing a man's book that is real and inspired.

BATTLEWRACK

By F. BRITTEN AUSTIN

Price 5/- net.

Mr. Britten Austin's stories and studies of battle incidents are, all of them picturesque, dramatic, and thrilling. There is one story of a U-Boat, another of a Zeppelin, another of the Tanks' arrival at Flers. The stories entitled "The Battery," "Pro Patria," and " The Air Scout " are particularly well done; and the author manages to obtain a wonderful amount of variety.

This book will make its mark. The author, who is, of course, a soldier, has an eye for effect, a sense of the mot juste, and a great technical equipment for his task ; the book is sure-handed and robust.
