Among the best known of Mr. Dicksee’s pictures may be men- tioned “Iivangcline,” ' (1879), “Thel.ove Story ” (1883), “Romco and Julict 7 (1884), “ Memo- rics 7 (18806), “The Pass- mg of Arthur” (188g), N “The Redemption of {Tannhauser 7 (189o), 1o which may now be added “ Startled,” cxhibited 1n the Royal Academy of the present year as his diploma work, on his clection as an Acade- mician,
