Was made a lieutenant in 1799; promoted to the rank of commander, Aug. 12th, 1812; and subsequently appointed as follows: – Aug. 10th, 1813, to the AEolus 32, armed en flûte; – Sept. 3d, 1814, to the Bustard; – and, Nov. 16th following, to the Ringdove, sloops.
