JOHN DAVY, Esq.
[Commander.]

Distinguished himself as a midshipman at the attack, capture, and destruction of a French convoy, in the bay of Rosas, in the night of Oct. 31st, 1809.[1] He was made a lieutenant on the 15th Jan. 1810; and promoted to the rank of commander, July 15th, 1814.
