JOHN HAMILTON (b), Esq.

Wass made a lieutenant into the Sapphire 24, Captain Alexander Montgomerie, on the West India station, Sept. 11th, 1820. Me was first of the Brisk sloop, Captain the Hon. William Anson, at the battle of Navarin. His commission as commander bears date Oct. 22d, 1827.
