JOHN MOBERLY, Esq.
[Post-Captain of 1815.]

Received his first commission, Oct. 14, 1807; and was senior lieutenant of the Little Belt in her memorable rencontre ​with the U.S. ship President, May 16, 1811; on which occasion he conducted himself as “a most excellent officer, in every respect[1].” He was made commander, May 29, 1813; and promoted to post rank, Aug. 26, 1815.
