JAMES PUCKFORD, Esq.

Was made a lieutenant into the Alacrity sloop, Captain the Hon. Frederick Spencer, at Brazil, Sept. 8th, 1821; and appointed to the Valorous 26, Captain James Murray, about to be employed on a “particular service,” Nov. 13th, 1622. He obtained the rank of commander Dec. 15th, 1827.
Commander Puckford married, Nov. 10th, 1834, Mary, youngest daughter of the Rev. J. F. Muckleston, D.D., Prebendary of Litchfield, &c. &c.
