​GARVEY, John, D.L., O.B.E. (1919), M.A. (T.C.D.); younger son of the late John C. Garvey, D.L., of Murrisk Abbey, Westport. Mrs. Harrie Garvey (wife), M.B.E., was for six years Master of North Mayo Hounds: eldest son, Capt. Ivan Garvey, M.C. Connaught Rangers, killed in France, 1917; younger son, Lieut. Douglas Garvey, R.N., Commanded a Destroyer during latter years of Great War; two daus., Lora Maud Garvey, and Sheelagh (now Crawford), wife of Lieut. Stuart Crawford, R.F.A.
